Lindsay · RN, BSN · Founder

The postpartum period is beautiful, overwhelming, and exhausting all at once. I founded Rest & Restore Night Nursing to provide compassionate, expert overnight care — giving new parents the uninterrupted sleep they need to recover and bond with confidence.

I am a Registered Nurse with specialized postpartum experience, bringing the calm and skill of a newborn care professional directly into your home. Every shift is tailored to your baby's needs and your family's routine — no scripts, no one-size-fits-all care.

After years caring for new families in a hospital setting, I started Rest & Restore to bring that same level of expertise into the home, where families need it most.

Frequently asked
questions.

What does a typical night look like with a night nurse?
I arrive at your home in the evening (typically between 9 and 10pm) and care for your baby through the night until morning — usually an 8-hour shift. I handle all feedings, diaper changes, and soothing, so you and your partner can sleep uninterrupted. In the morning, I leave you with a brief log of the night: feedings, diaper changes, sleep stretches, and anything noteworthy.
Will my baby bond less with me if someone else handles nights?
This is one of the most common — and most understandable — concerns. The short answer is no. Bonding happens through the hundreds of loving daytime moments: feeding, holding, eye contact, play, and presence. A well-rested parent is a more attuned, patient, and joyful parent. Night nursing gives you the rest you need to fully show up for the bonding that matters most.
Will you support breastfeeding and pumping?
Absolutely. I will bring baby to you for nighttime feeds, help with latching and positioning as needed, and take over diaper changes and re-settling so you can go right back to sleep. For pumping moms, I handle bottle feeds and proper milk storage. My goal is to protect your sleep while honoring your feeding plan.
What are your credentials?
I am a Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) with over six years of clinical experience. I am Basic Life Support certified, fully insured, and have completed a PA state background check. Beyond the credentials, I bring the calm, evidence-based approach of a hospital-trained nurse to the comfort of your home.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend reaching out during your second or early third trimester — calendars fill quickly. That said, I do my best to accommodate last-minute and postpartum requests whenever possible, so please reach out either way.
Do you offer support for twins or multiples?
Yes. Caring for multiples overnight is one of the most exhausting parts of new parenthood, and it is a wonderful fit for night nursing. We will talk through your specific needs during your free consultation and put together a plan that works for your family.
What happens if the baby sleeps through the night?
You still get the full benefit of rest. I stay on duty for the entire shift, quietly watching over your baby and ready to respond the moment anything is needed. Many parents tell me their deepest sleep since becoming parents came from simply knowing a trained professional was there, awake and attentive, while they rested.
What areas do you serve, and how does pricing work?
I serve the Greater Philadelphia suburbs — primarily Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties, including areas around Ambler, Lower Merion, Newtown, and the Main Line. I offer care in flexible packages because every family's needs are different. I share pricing on a complimentary consultation call, and it reflects the number of nights, weekday versus weekend, length of shift, and care complexity (single baby versus multiples). Packages are also available for ongoing weekly support.
